Dear backers,
Allow me to start with an apology. Our lack of communication has left many of you whose pledge tier included a Dock feeling that we have let you down. I completely understand this and wanted to share some of the underlying reasons why we have been so quiet below, but again, please let me re-iterate that I am deeply sorry for the radio silence.
Our key issue over the last few months has been a legal dispute regarding the costs of the docks and GameStick. The dispute saw production suspended and required a lengthy battle to resolve. The nature of the situation affected our freedom to communicate, which when combined with the very public nature of Kickstarter put us all in a very awkward situation - not least because the pressure we were under was clearly visible to all on our social media boards.
We are used to the choppy waters of a start up environment - but it was hugely difficult when so much was at stake to see our best efforts curtailed - leading to the understandably negative comments that came of it.
So where are we now? Well, I am glad to say that we are turning a significant corner. We are settling our dispute with the suppliers and the docks will ship by air the moment we get customs clearance. Once they have arrived in the US and UK they will be shipped to those backers who have ordered one. I am so sorry for the delay. It has been hugely painful for us to experience your frustration and I hope that we can collectively move forward from this point.
Many of you have been unhappy with the levels of support we have been able to offer. Again, we apologise for this. All of our support is now via the Support tab at www.gamestick.tv To speed up response times we have increased the resources behind this and so I hope this will begin to make a rapid difference. It will take us a while to clear the backlog of issues but we are focused on it. I am also happy to take personal emails at Jasper.smith@playjam.com. l will respond as soon as possible, but I would ask that you try the support channels first.
We will post another update on Kickstarter ASAP regarding the estimated delivery date for the docks the moment we have confirmation. Thank you for your time reading this and for your ongoing support.
